Smart Tweezers ST-5S are a handheld LCR- and ESR-meter that is an easy-to-use alternative to testing and troubleshooting Surface Mount Technology with traditional testers. The combination of a set of sharp, gold-plated tweezers and a lightweight LCR- and ESR-meter provides a unique experience; the device requires no set-up between measurements unless specific measurement parameters are needed. The tweezers are able to grasp all components, including loose or on a crowded PCB. By squeezing a component between the tweezers probes, the Smart Tweezers ST-5S will automatically determine the type of component and best test range before measuring; the main impedance value, secondary value (ESR, secondary D or Q values), test signal level and component type are instantly shown on the device's OLED display.

This model offers the most features and functions in the Smart Tweezers line of LCR-meters, as well as offering the highest basic accuracy of 0.2%. The ST-5S is controlled with a joystick-like navigation that allows users to easily change measurement mode, test signal level, and tolerances right from the main screen; pressing down on the joystick enters the menus for more options.

The ST-5S is accompanied by an NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate, hard-shelled carrying case and micro-USB charging cable. At only 1 oz. the ST-5S is nearly undetectable in a bag and is ultimately portable for field work.
