Pistol-shaped for a comfortable grip, the Extech IRT600 is used by pointing the instrument's dual lasers directly at a target point. This IR thermometer will then read the temperature of the surface and display this along with a dewpoint reading on the built-in LCD screen.This thermometer also has a completely unique function that shows dangerous levels of condensation. Three-built in LED lights change colour depending on the level of condensation detected: green for normal (1/3 of environment temperature to dew point), yellow for warning (2/3 range which shows place may develop mildew) and red for alert (exceeds 2/3 range that shows place has mildew).
